Designing an elegant kitchen can be a really difficult job, because function takes charge. I cannot talk about kitchen solution in general, as you can understand, because different spaces and different clients demand unique approaches. However, I have always believed that linear kitchens aesthetically have the lead. Sometimes it is not about taking advantage of all the space you have for storage but just letting the space breathe. Get a spacious look even at the expense of storage.
Today on the blog I have gathered five different linear kitchens from previous posts. Most of them have islands because of the storage needs without compromising aesthetic.
As you can see from this beautiful dark wood kitchen that was designed by Lotta Agaton it has rhythm and elegance. The two materials (wood and marble) really stand out because there is space left to see it and in linear kitchens this is the whole concept: The space left to be seen or to be used for other purposes (dining area, living room and so on). Τhe main disadvantage of having cupboards becomes a decisive advantage since it functions in a way that defines a rhythm by the size and the number of them. In that way, a designer can achieve a serene and stylish final result where designing freedom is limited.
But enough have been said. The pictures can talk for themselves. Enjoy.
