Today is all about a residence in Melbourne with dominant surrounding landscape that define the interior in a minimal yet beautiful way. This rural residence, by architects Studio Four, blends within the landscape and the black timber cladding and dark reflective glass were selected to help dematerialise the building form from its natural surrounds.
The building is designed in such way that enables its user to experience many aspects of the surrounding landscape. At the same time the minimal interior design is, by no means, impersonal of without character. Instead, it is designed with care and emphasis on scales and proportions.
” We sought to create a quality of space that provides a sense of sanctuary, enclosure and comfort” say the architects. And I couldn’t agree more! There are so many things to be said about this building but I will let you enjoy the pictures…
