Annaleena’s own home.

There are some articles that  never get old because of their aesthetic and their wonderful photographs. More specifically the article of residence magazine about Annaleena’s private house although it is almost one year old it can only be registered as all-time classic. Pictures -great pictures actually-are photographed by Kristofer Johnsson a very talented Stockholm based photographer.

The house was designed by the Finnish-born Annaleena and Jonas (partners in life). Jonas as an architect was in charge mostly for the construction engineering. Obviously, the interior architecture and styling was passed to his wife “The biggest challenge for him is to tie up my ideas and make sure they can actually be implemented.” says Annaleena in her interview to the residence magazine.

The scenery is magical and works as an anti-stress factor in their life. But who can argue that the interior of this house works also that way? The really high ceiling in the living room, the minimal furniture, without anything unnecessary to accessorize it makes the house an oasis of serenity calmness and elegance. All the furniture and items of industrial design were thoughtfully chosen and picked with care so that the final result can really be a thriving example of Scandinavian interior and warm minimalism. The bathroom is something unique, the marble tiles with all those lines are so difficult to put together in a matching result and yet when you see it there is no doubt they were meant to be placed in that order. Enough said, I should let the pictures speak for themselves.

Enjoy!

Hi! I am an architect who loves interior design. I created this digital space so that I could share with you my love for simplicity, Scandinavian minimalism and beauty in general. It is a place where architecture meets art, fashion and functionality. A place where I love to lay down and dream. Welcome to my home.
